Joan Harper
Joan Harper is our school administrative
assistant. Joan's is the happy voice you hear when you call St. Peter's.
She is the one everyone goes to for information because she is involved
in so much of our ministry and has been here... well... almost forever!
We all love Joan!!!
Joan is originally from Chicago. She attended Zion Lutheran
School for 7th & 8th grades and Luther South High School. She has a B.A
from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa.
Joan has been part of St. Peter’s family
since 1992. She has two children Joshua and Melia both are alumni of St.
Peter’s. She has served in many areas from room mom, magazine
coordinator, marathon co-chairperson, PTL president, preschool aide, ESD
caregiver, and
hot lunch helper. Joan has been part of the office staff since the fall
of 2001.
Joan knows all the children by name, along
with most of their siblings! Everyday she makes sure all God's
little children are accounted for and is always ready to clean up
scrapes and bruises. She demonstrates a willingness to serve
wherever she is needed -- demonstrated this past summer as she put on
her early childhood qualified teacher smile and helped staff our quickly
expanding program. During the 2007-2008 school year, Joan will be
in the office in the morning and spend some time in the afternoon with
the preschoolers.
